One clear step at a time
Turn on the tap, wet hands, take soap, rub palms together, wash the back of one hand and then the other, rub between fingers and around thumbs, rinse, turn off the tap, dry hands, and put used paper towel in the bin.
Scrub all surfaces with soap for at least 20 seconds in total across the rubbing steps, including fingertips and under nails. Use a clean cloth towel or paper towel to dry; only paper towel goes in the bin. Offer support and adapt to sensory needs.
